On November 1st 1980 the New York Iota Chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity was founded. The New York Iota Chapter is the oldest national Greek organization on the Fredonia campus and was the first national fraternity to be chartered on the Fredonia campus.
As the years have passed, the New York Iota Chapter continues to build upon its successes, leaving an indelible mark on the SUNY Fredonia campus and beyond. Alumni went on to become leaders in their fields, carrying with them the lessons learned and the values instilled during their time in the fraternity.
But perhaps the greatest achievement of all was the enduring bond of brotherhood that united them. Through triumphs and trials, laughter and tears, the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon have stood together as a family, bound by a bond that transcends time and distance.
