This past Saturday, brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon gathered to celebrate a remarkable milestone — 124 years of the national fraternity and 45 years of the New York Iota Chapter at SUNY Fredonia.
As the first national Greek organization established on the Fredonia campus, Sigma Phi Epsilon continues to stand strong, upholding the values of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love that have guided the brotherhood for generations.
Brothers from across generations came together for the occasion, including Founding Fathers Jim Buell, Mark Kaczmarek, and Doug McCall. Their presence served as a powerful reminder of the chapter’s enduring legacy and the lasting impact of those who helped lay its foundation in 1980.
The celebration culminated in one of the chapter’s most cherished traditions — the annual Alumni Banquet. Brothers from across the decades reconnected, shared memories, and reflected on the impact SigEp has had on their lives. The evening was filled with laughter, stories, and a renewed sense of pride in what the chapter continues to accomplish both on campus and be Here’s to 124
years of Sigma Phi Epsilon and 45 incredible years at Fredonia — and to many more ahead.
