This past week, current undergraduate brother Maxwell Osborne proudly represented the New York Iota chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the 2025 Ruck Leadership Institute, held at the University of Richmond—the historic birthplace of SigEp, founded in 1901.
As one of the fraternity’s premier leadership development experiences, the Ruck Leadership Institute brings together undergraduate brothers from across the country for an intensive, values-based training. Throughout the week, Max engaged in challenging team-building exercises, deep discussions on leadership, and collaborative problem-solving, all designed to help participants become stronger and more impactful leaders within their chapters and communities.
Max’s experience at Ruck not only offered him powerful personal growth but also equipped him with skills and strategies that will benefit the NY Iota chapter at Fredonia. His dedication and involvement are a testament to the high standards of our brotherhood.
The Ruck Leadership Institute is just one of several exceptional programs Sigma Phi Epsilon offers to its undergraduate members—free of charge—demonstrating the fraternity’s commitment to building balanced men through lifelong development and leadership opportunities. We look forward to seeing the positive impact Max’s experience will have on our chapter in the months ahead.
